For individuals who are academic professionals, there is one document that provides a summary of everything that the professional does or feels should be included in accomplishments. The main categories are the traditional items of the persons professional education, employment, scientific writings, professional presentations, etc. This document is called the Curriculum Vita, or more simply, just Vita. Included here is a link to my professional vita. In it, you will find a thumbnail of what I am doing and have done over my professional career. The document can lead to many other things. For example, there are references for professional publications which tend to be documents that have been published in professional journals. All of those documents are, or should be available, at any reasonable research oriented library such as a library at a good college or university. Since all of my publications are in the area of behavioral science and most are in the area of psychophysiology, most of my publications would be available at a good medical school library. In this day and age, many of those publications will be available in electronic format for immediate access or download. If not available in electronic format, they should be available in paper format in the journal holdings or via interlibrary loan from other libraries.
The vita is inserted here in text and there is a link immediately following in Adobe pdf format and WORD format which could be downloaded (although I am not sure why anyone would want a copy unless using it as a model of a professor's CV) VITA Gary E.
